Where them house keys go ???

Had originally planned to go to Worli for a meeting, but suddenly had to go into the city to sign a deal… praise God, it was fabulous Also managed to do the Worli meeting on the way back.

Had promised D I’d have lunch with him - unfortunately it was more like high tea but still good fun. He picked me up in his brand new Scoda Octavia (yeah, show off D) which was still fresh with garland etc from blessings

Had lunch at Independence Cafe (D’s choice). I haven’t eaten there in a long long long time - I think the last time I went was for Camryn’s Christening but ate the buffet then not a la carte…

The restaurant’s been on a single level now for a long time - I think the split level wasn’t legal (but don’t sue me, am not sure). Anyway, the prices have increased - earlier there was this long-time INR 99 scheme which ensured the place was jam packed with college kids (where else could you get a pint of beer for 99 bucks?). Anything & everything one ordered (including all food) were at 99 & made it a good deal.

Had (my once usual) Chicken a la Kiev (now INR 180) and cutting it up and watching the butter just flow out softly brought back many many memories…. ahhhhh…. to be foolish and in college again…. (ok fine, to be in college again….) Had a great time… D as usual hassles the hell out of me, but no one can ever accuse him of being boring!

Night was at A. Susan’s to celebrate her b’day. Surprise surprise, her home was packed with good looking people wearing expensive clothes and eating fabulous food. Had a great time. Stayed on till the very end (& a bit afterwards too) and was really glad I remembered to take my house keys… it was really very very early in the morning.
