The Strong Bike & the Feeble Nail - A Parable
Imagine for a moment, a big, strong, shiny (yes, it could be red) motorbike.
(here’s a lil something to help you imagine it
)

The bike thought it was all big & strong & nothing & no one could do it any harm. So it rode on the dusty & dug up roads of Mumbai city, showing off it’s abilities to weave through the endless traffic in seamless fashion.
Now one day, just when the bike thought it was invincible, out came a little nail…

HaHaHa… thought the foolish bike… what can that small little nail do to big & strong me??
So the bike played with the nail, allowed it into it’s life (in this case, it’s back tyre) & before the bike knew what happened, the nail destroyed the bike’s tyre…
Similarly we “play around” with what we think are “little” sins, thinking we’re so “big” and “in control” of the situation, not knowing, like the foolish bike, that even a small sin can destroy us…
And destroyed we do get.

We’re still all shiny on the outside, but with no tyres to ride on… our souls are decayed & corrupted on the inside…
The good news is that there is a way out… We must go back to our Maker, our Creator (or in this case, a good tyrewala) and He will remould us into what we should be.

Tyre Puncture? No Problem, Submit yourselves to God, (He’ll make it all ok… and in the future) resist the devil and he will flee from you (cf James 4:7)
Don’t play around with sin… all it will do is puncture your tyres. And we’ll only enjoy the ride of life when everything’s smooth.
The End.

What a lovely parable…
“we play around with what we think are little sins”
When we play around and allow little sins to enter our life we actually give access to the Destroyer the devil, and he ultimately destroys our body …..yes our body which is “The temple of the Holy Spirit”….is now under satans control and when one part of a body organ spots functioning ….we then run to God.
so very accurate !!!
sometimes small mistakes do screw up things big time … though this post is more than 2 yrs old … probably I was destined to stumble upon it… as I face the same puncture in my own life
Hopefully things shall become good someday…
Father into your hands I commend my spirit …
